The Loreto Bray programming club is a student run club dedicated to promoting women in stem (specifically the T). In our club we've explored web development with HTML/CSS, game development with various engines, computer networking as well as cybersecurity in depth. We have successfully completed many long term projects such as:
- Created a messaging application
- Learnt to convert numbers from base 10 to base 2, and have looked at base 8 number systems
- Built python dictionaries in order to do translations
- Created programs to encrypt and decrypt ciphers
- Created many choose your own adventure Rpgs
- Used vbs to create popups and executables
We use a variety of languages ranging from python to batch. We are due to compete in our first competition this summer.
One of the main focuses in the club is creating a fun and relaxed environment for all our members. No experience is necessary to join this club and we are always welcoming new members.
Meet in the Computer Room (Room 12) in the H Block (Teresa Ball Wing) every Monday from 15.45 - 17.00
