Goal Jersey Day

We are delighted to announce we raised €1,000 for Goal Jersey Day on October 13th. A kaleidoscope of colourful jerseys swept through the corridors. The day was rounded out with a Teacher Student Rounders match and once again the teachers ran out victorious.

Well done to all our raffle prize winners and many thanks to Ms. Quigley for organising the day.

German Exchange

Five of our German students, Aoife Mulhern, Zoe Hannon, Sophie Byrne and Shana O’Dowd (all TY) and Eva Elmes, 5th Year, arrived in Wurzburg on October 15th to embark on a week long German exchange where they will be fully immersed in the language and culture. Many thanks to Ms. Cullen and Ms. Fitzsimons for organising this and accompanying the students.

Freshers Day

A successful Freshers Day took place in the Sports Hall on October 5th where our wide range of extra-curricular clubs and societies were showcased. New members are always welcome. A special mention to our newest clubs; namely Lego Club and History Club. Keep an eye on the school notice boards for information.

Transition Year Trip to Carlingford

The Transition Year students enjoyed a three day trip to Carlingford Adventure Centre from October 2nd to 4th. An action packed and fun filled three days ensued with students participating in kayaking, pier jumping, laser tag, high wires, just to name a few of the activities. A big thanks to Ms. McHugh who organised this and to the teachers who accompanied the students.

Rayse the Game Workshops

Ray of Rayse the Game visited the 3rd Year and 6th Year students on October 2nd and delivered motivational workshops on Study Skills to the students.



Chinese Classes

Chinese classes have recommenced on Wednesday afternoons. This year we are delighted to welcome students from Pres Bray, Woodbrook College and St. David’s Greystones to our school to participate in the classes.

Student Council

After Class Prefect Elections, our Student Council for 2023-24 met for the first time last week where they received their Prefect Badges. We look forward to an exciting year ahead.

Leaving Cert Geography Field Trip

The Leaving Cert Geography students ventured to Killiney Beach on September 29th to complete their Coursework. Thanks to Ms. Hamilton, Ms. Ni Uagain and Mr. Kynes for accompanying the students.

Loreto Bray Invitational Golf Competition

The inaugural Loreto Bray Invitational Golf Tournament was played in ideal conditions in Bray Golf Club on September 28th. We had six golfers compete with Emily Staunton finishing 3rd overall with 39 points.

The team of Tayla Bouwer, Emily Staunton and Adriana Tores finished second and Ciara Staunton, Megan Dunne and Anna Morrisey finished just outside the prizes.

Gaelic Football

It has been a busy couple of weeks for our Gaelic Football teams. Our Juniors were defeated by a strong Colaiste Bhride Carnew team in the Leinster League while our Seniors had a dominant win over St. David’s Greystones in the Wicklow League.

Basketball

Our under 19 team have made a strong start to the season with wins over Loreto Dalkey and Loreto Beaufort. Our under 16s had a fine win over Loreto Dalkey but were narrowly defeated by Loreto Beaufort.

Hockey

Our Minor A had a superb 3-0 win over St. Joseph’s Cluny in their opening Leinster League Match. Our Minor Bs played out a 2-2 draw with Mount Temple in the Leinster League.
