After a long day of competition, on Thursday February 29th, which saw the squad play 4 matches, our under 16 badminton team have been crowned Leinster champions.
Across the day, Loreto Bray played against St. Leo's, Carlow who they defeated 6-0, St. Joseph's, Navan who they defeated 4-2 and Scoil Airegail, Kilkenny where they played out a 3-3 draw.
This set up a final against St. Brendan's, Offaly which resulted in Loreto triumphing on a 4-2 scoreline.
Congratulations to Kate Reid, Eva Shiju, Nora Minto, Kripa Kissanthomas and coach Heather Simpson on this tremendous achievement.
