All-Ireland Basketball Final Awaits under 16 Team
Our under 16 (Cadette) basketball team have secured a spot in the All-Ireland Final after winning both their Quarter Final and Semi Final in the National Basketball Arena, Tallaght on Wednesday February 8th.
Bray faced St. Joseph's, Castlebar in the Quarter Final and secured a 24-15 win.
Colaiste Dun an Ri, Cavan awaited Bray in the Semi-Final and the opposition raced into an early 10 points lead. Bray's fightback began in the second quarter and they had narrowed the gap to two points at half time and to just one point by the end of the third quarter.
Bray hit their purple patch in the final quarter and took a seven point lead with 4 minutes on the clock. Some end to end play, as well some strong defence and rebounding saw Bray win by 35-32 at the final buzzer.
This earns a spot in the All-Ireland Final against Pres Tralee on Wednesday February 21st at 3.45 p.m. in the National Basketball Arena in Tallaght. All support is welcome.
