In what has been a brilliant league campaign spanning the past five months for Loreto Bray's under 16 basketball team, it culminated in a scintillating All-Ireland Final on Wednesday February 21st against Pres. Tralee.
Loreto's squad has displayed great heart and fight across their league campaign, and this was evident again during the All-Ireland Final which was played in front of a raucous crowd in the National Basketball Arena, Tallaght.
Bray trailed by 7 at the end of the first quarter and dug deep to trail by just three at half-time (22-25).
In end to end, free-flowing basketball, Bray narrowed the lead to just two at the end of the third quarter (29-31).
The final quarter was incredibly tight and Bray levelled the scores. The last two minutes was edge of the seat watching. However, Tralee stretched the lead to 4 points at the full-time buzzer.
Well done to all the squad and coach Cormac Connor on a tremendous performance.
