School Chaplain
Sr. Phil Murphy, IBVM, is our school chaplain. We are very fortunate to have Sr. Phil, a Loreto sister, on a full-time basis in the school. In addition to her chaplaincy duties Sr. Phil is available to meet students at a mutually convenient time, usually by appointment.
Sr. Phil also leads a short morning prayer/reflection in the school prayer room each morning at 8.35am. All students and staff are welcome to attend.
Parents/guardians are welcome to contact the office either to leave a message for Sr. Phil, or to make an appointment to meet her.
First Years
Ms. Linda Quigley is the co-ordinator of Pastoral Care for First Year students. From meeting with the students on the first day they arrive in the school, and throughout the whole of first year, Ms Quigley provides pastoral support to the students and their families.
Ms. Quigley is available every morning and during break times to meet with students and at other times by appointment. Her role is primarily to support the students as they make the transition from primary to secondary school, helping them to settle in, and keeping a kindly eye on them as they negotiate this big step in their education.
Ms. Quigley works closely with the Year Head and the school Chaplain Sr. Phil. She is available by prior appointment with the office to meet any parents or guardians of First Year students.
Other Years
Loreto students are encouraged to strive for excellence at the level of each one’s potential in all areas of life and work. Loreto education gives priority to the integration of the spiritual, moral, physical and emotional development of the individual student. As part of this education a Pastoral Care team is available in the school for all students. Appointments can be made with a member of this team at a mutually agreed time.
